In eastern Washington, spotted bats feed at night over ponds and lakes near cliffs. Look up in the sky at night and listen for their calls.
What Can I Do to Help?
Help educate your parents and friends that bats are useful because they eat insects that people don't like. Contrary to popular belief, bats seldom carry rabies, and as long as you don't pick one up, they can't harm you.
